Cherry Seraph

a close-up portrait of a person with bright orange/peachy hair cut to about chin length. They have light blue eyes with matching orange/peachy eyeshadow and are wearing a white or cream-coloured top. The person has a thoughtful expression with their hand resting against their cheek, looking directly at the camera. They appear to have a small nose piercing. The photo has a soft, slightly vintage aesthetic with warm tones and a gentle film-like grain overlay. The background is a neutral light colour, putting the focus entirely on the subject. The overall mood is contemplative and serene.

Constantly evolving since she released her debut back in mid-2021, Leeds-based electronic artist Cherry Seraph cites the ‘queer trinity’ of The Japanese House, Marika Hackman and Beach House as her key influences, which gives you a good indication of her sound – narcotically drifting dream pop with plenty of innovative/interesting sounds, big on subtlety and detail. Her music is immersive and emotional, her lyrics frank and personal, adding up to songs that are affecting and intriguing. surely making her one of the most interesting acts playing this year’s festival.
