Sunderland duo CHAT are already regulars on stages in the North East and in the pages of NARC. Magazine, but you might also recognise their singer, Beccy Young, from her This Little Bird incarnation. CHAT are a very different proposition though, a synth-pop duo (with Jordan Miller) with one foot in the PWL-dominated eighties and one very much in the now. They made their live debut less than two years ago and have released a couple of singles – including last year’s Alfresco Bitch, which is a PSB-style sprechgesang banger – that suggest there’s a lot to look forward to.
