9.30pm Avalanche Party

Avalanche Party’s live performances brim with an urgency that explodes off the stage. This is punk at its most feral, garage at its most primal, rock ’n’ roll in its most fearsome form, with its teeth bared spitting like a cornered pit-bull.

2016 saw the Yorkshire Moors band performing across the UK and Europe, as well as UK festivals including Reading and Leeds 2016, while receiving heavy radio play by BBC Introducing, Radio 1’s Huw Stephens, Amazing Radio, KCRW’s Jason Kramer in the USA, and 6Music’s Steve Lamacq, Tom Robinson and Vic Galloway, culminating in a storming live session on 6 Music.

8.30pm The Strawberries

A Rock ‘n’ Roll, Blues, Psychedelic band, 60’s influenced yet utterly contemporary, who’ve already shared a stage with The Courteeners, Blossoms, Vryll Society & Hidden Charms before going onto play Leeds Festival in 2016 and headlining their own sold out UK tour. Named on This Feeling’s ‘Big in 2017’ list.

7.30pm Black Delta Movement

Erratically charged and blistering out of Hull with the ferocity and barbarity of a Mustang driven bysome twisted delinquent, their music draws eclectically from contemporary artists and those of yesteryear, ranging from The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Black Angels and The Small Faces. It’s abrasive, raucous and rattles you down to your bones.

6.30pm Happy Daggers

Having starred at Leeds and Reading Festivals in 2015 Happy Daggers went onto support the one and only Stevie Wonder in 2016! Their gig at TS One in April, reviewed above by NE Volume, was one of the highlights of the Into Tomorrow Teesside calendar and their highly danceable funky indie disco sound ensures another guaranteed Stockton Calling Sun Inn highlight.

5.30pm The See No Evils

The See No Evils have been praised for their unique take on the 60’s Garage/Psych genre which fits in well with the music of today without feeling too retro, which has resulted in gigs with Sixties legends The Pretty Things and The Sonics, as well as a hugely successful European tour. Their sell out debut single ‘Hanging Around’ received a 5 star rating in Shindig Magazine and last year’s debut LP ‘Inner Voices’ has been voted No. 3 in America’s LPL Wort FM’s ‘Best of 2016’. If you have a love of the classic 60’s compilation ‘Nuggets’ this band is for you!

4.30pm Mali Hayes

Manchester’s Mali Hayes is quite simply one of the most exciting soul voices to emerge from the UK in years. Miss her at your peril.

3.30pm Towzer

Formed only a year ago in January 2016, Teesside band Towzer have made an instant impact on the local scene with their melodic indie sound, mixed with 60’s Psych/Backbeat influences, that bring to mind The La’s and The Coral.

2.30pm Ten Foot Tom & The Leprosy Crooks

Whitby’s finest Garage Rock ‘n’ Roll band combine elements of The Clash with early Springsteen, in a raw, energetic and uncompromising live show that has made them firm favourites on the North East music scene over the last couple of years.

1.30pm Chaos Jigsaw

Having previously fronted one of the most exciting live bands on the Teesside live circuit, Bi:Lingual, Dylan Cartlidge now returns as the area’s premier Soul Poet with his new project Chaos Jigsaw, bringing together a classic Baby Huey soul/funk vibe with the contemporary hip-hop feel of Ghostpoet with a full band.
